Nancy HainesNancy Haines – Author – Bookseller
Nancy brings to QMart a selection of used and rare Quaker books. Her out-of-print book selections have been a popular feature of the consignment store at previous Gatherings and will include biographies, Quaker history, fiction, and early writings. Her own writings have been well-received. She published a nonfiction book about the beginning of the American Friends Service Committee during WWI based on the love letters of two pacifists. She also wrote a highly regarded children’s picture book about participating in meeting for business which was translated into Spanish by a Cuban Friend.
She is currently researching the lives of the Quakers who were the original European settlers of Hillsborough, North Carolina, where she and her husband now reside, for an upcoming novel (if all goes well). Nancy's website provides information about her published books and includes a section of used and out-of-print books for sale. |
